I am just a bit late writing this blog post! Its the day after the launch of the 2023/24 game! I took all the various screenshots for last season but then never got round to writing about it.

This is all going to be mostly for my own record!

I finished the 2022/23 season with a ranking of 123,242nd. I was hoping at the least would finish in top 100k but had a poor end to the season.

Up to GW33, it was going well and a top 50k may have been possible. Had 15 green arrows out of 16 (since World Cup). I am going to blame going on holiday for the red arrows! Although in reality that was only part of the blame. One of the gameweeks while I was only holiday was a 9.9m rank!! Another was 3.7m rank!

Can’t blame the holiday for last couple gameweeks but was trying to do things to get back into 100k and also win/maintain leads in mini-leagues. Unfortunately it did not go to plan! Punts did not work!

In the mini-leagues where I was in with friends, going into last gameweek I was 1st in all except one. 2nd in another and would have needed differential to go right – and it didn’t. Should have played it steady. Should have captained Kane instead of Rashford! Would have meant finishing 1st in most of those mini-leagues! United Red googles were on I think.

Oh well, on to next season. What lessons have I learnt? Not sure!

But hopefully have a better start!
